“The Wizard Of Oz” To Be Presented At Wexford Opera House

wizweb2_detailNov 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The biggest theater event of the year, “The Wizard Of Oz” will make us dumbstruck this season. It would be one of the most awaited Christmas treat and would be performed at the O’Reilly Theatre, Wexford Opera House in Ireland, on December 20th and 27th to 30th December 2010, at 2:00 p.m and 7 p.m on each day.

The movie will be presented by Original Production Cav. Vivian Coates, which made its mark last year by organizing one of the most celebrated theaters, “Oliver”. “The Wizard Of Oz” starts, as Dorothy and her friends make their journey to the magical Land of Oz to visit the Wonderful Wizard. The initial reviews have said that the theater has some beautiful original music by Aidan Faughey. “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” may be regarded as one of the best songs in the entire theater. The other melodious treats can be perceived with songs like “We’re Off To See The Wizard”, “If I Only Had A Brain”. The theater castes Katie Honan as Dorothy, Tony Finnegan as The Lion, Jimmy Dixon as The Tin Man, Mel Ryan as Glinda, Harry O’Loughlin as Uncle Henry, Olive Melville as Aunt Em, Adam Lawlor as The Wicked Witch of The West. The Great Wizard of Oz will be played Dessie Lougridge.

The revival director of this theater is Tony Finnegan, while it has been choreographed by Siobhan McQuillan. The cost of the tickets would vary between 18-32, while family tickets would be available for 90. One can also opt for online booking in the official website of Wexford Opera House.
