The Winners Of CMA Awards Walked The Red Carpet With Glory

cmaNov 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was a star studded event at 44th Country Music Awards 2010 where who’s who of the music industry graced the occasion and won the much coveted award. There were some mind blowing performances by the celebrities and the audience loved and enjoyed their performances. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood were the hosts of the show who presided over the three hour telecast with light and comic touch and they entertained the audience by parodying the fellow nominees and the pop culture of the country.

The show opened with Carrie Underwood’s song “Songs Like This” and later Brad Paisley and Keith Urban joined her on stage. The hosts took a sarcastic take on Brett Favre, BP Oil Spill and also the underplaying of national media on the Nashville floods. Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood cracked some jokes on the Kanye West. Brad Paisley pleased the audience with the country music version of “Bad Romance” singer Lady Gaga’s songs and he tickled the funny bone of the audience when he asked Gwyneth Paltrow “Coldplay” tickets! The show stealer of Country Music Awards was Miranda Lambert who was nominated on nine categories and finally she nabbed three coveted awards of the Best Female Vocalist, the Best Album for “Revolution” and the Best Music Video for “The House That Built Me”. The singer was emotional as well as happy while receiving the much coveted award.

The Best Vocal Group and the Best Single award was received by Lady Antebellum who was nominated for five categories. Sugarland received Best Vocal Duo and Brad Paisley received Entertainer of the Year. Blake Shelton received two awards for Best Male Vocalist and Best Musical Event. Zac Brown Band won their much coveted award for the Best New Artist.
