“The Walking Dead” On AMC Gets Attention

Nov 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The audience of the AMC television were waiting with their bated breathes to see the premiere of television series “The Walking Dead”. The show is based on the comic series of same name by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore. Last night’s episode was subtitled as “Days Gone Bye” and it was directed and written by Frank Darabont. Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Grimes’ journey to the world of walking dead was the main plot which received accolades of appreciation from the audience.
The director of “The Walking Dead” managed to pull a considerable amount of viewership in the 90 minute premiere as he roped in all the ingredients that is required to shape up a ghastly zombie story, and at the same time expanded the visual references to the Classic Westerns. The show starts with the protagonist, Rick Grimes waking up from coma after suffering an injury during an intense shootout. However, after waking up he finds himself in a new nightmare as he finds himself in the land of flesh-eating monsters. When he searches for his wife Lori and his son Carl, he realizes that he has landed himself in post-apocalyptic landscape where he will not be able to find his family.
The role of the protagonist is played by Andrew Lincoln, who delivers wonderful performance as he manages to get into the skin of the character. One of the best moments of the premiere is when Rick Grimes discovers that his wife has turned into a zombie and still he could not pull the trigger on his wife. The next episode is subtitled as “Guts” and the audience is presently waiting o see what happens in Rick Grimes’ in the new world of “The Walking Dead”.
