“The Walking Dead” Cast Members Name Their Favorite Horror Films

Nov 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much anticipated series “The Walking Dead” premiered on AMC last night. During the promotion the director, the actors of the horror series spoke about “The Walking Dead”, their role in the series and also named their favorite horror movies. The story of the series is mainly deals with the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse which follows a small group of survivors who travel across United States to find a home for themselves.
Andrew Lincoln, who plays the role of Rick Grimes in the series spoke about his childhood and said that when he was younger, at that time better movies were made and one of his favorite horror movies was “The Omen”. He recalled his childhood experience and said that when he watched “The Omen” he was scared to the death. The actor also named another movie “The Shining”, “Don’t Look Now” as he feels that the movies are “transcend” genre. The creator of the series Robert Kirkman said that he have been trying to watch “Evil Dead” for about four months but still he is not able to come out of his fear. He said that “Army of Darkness” is his favorite movie but “Evil Dead” is going to be his to go Halloween movie.
For Jon Bernthal, his Halloween movie would be “Friday the 13th” and for Sarah Wayne Callies the “Thriller” music video scared her a lot. “Night of the Living Dead”, “The Exorcist”, “Count Yorga, Vampire” are some of the favorite movies of Frank Darabont. However, the all time favorite movie of the director is “The Thing”. “The Walking Dead” received good previews from its audience who are looking forward to see more of the AMC series.
