You can feast your eyes for as long as you like, on the sexy cast who lately featured on the first episode of Vampire Diaries this Thursday night on The CW. Based on L.J. Smith’s Vampire Diaries, this TV series surely looks interesting.

Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), is the ageless vampire, and has a love-interest in Virginia high-school’s Elena (Nina Dobrey) in the vampire series. The gripping idea that resonates in the thriller episode stems from the fact that vampires can walk carelessly in broad daylight. There is a genuine power in the huge ring of blood suckers, and how they live uninhibited by the sunlight.

Stefan’s bad brother, will compete with him now for the attention of the female counterpart. Elena happens to be the look-alike of Katherine, the former love of Stefan.

Even though the show might be somewhat hackneyed in its concept, the premiere show on The CW, has recorded nearly 5 million viewers and had a mind-boggling slew of ardent female teen viewers, rating it as No.1, reportedly. We have to admit that there are great performances given by the protagonists, but also that the strange hip-hop style soundtrack spoils the whole supernatural affect of the series.

There is a lot of hide and seek going around the premises of the Mystic Falls. Damon, Stefan’s evil brother displays some predominance over his acting skills in comparison to Elena, whose facade of facial exaggeration almost spoils the show’s integrity. Also Vicki, the love interest of Elena’s brother Jeremy, gives some stereotypical mindsets of high-schoolers, which fares the series some distaste.
