‘The Trevor Project’ sees spike in traffic after Glee episode

New York, Mar 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Trevor Project has seen increased interest from the public following the airing of the mid winter finale of the show Glee. The episode tackled gay teen suicide around the United States.

The Trevor Project deals with issues connected to discrimination against LGBT and provide services to LGBT teenagers who are susceptible to suicide. The co-founder of the project revealed that since the episode aired, traffic to their website has more than tripled. There have been several calls to the offices as well.

Co-founder Peggy Rajski, “What was great about the show is that they worked in conjunction with us so we knew in advance that there was going to in all likelihood be an increase in volume. What happened was the volume went up about 300 percent, but we were ready.”

The website revealed that prior to the airing of the episode, the average visits was 1,500 but that has since moved to more than 10,000.

The Trevor Project lists several stars including Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, Chris Colfer from Glee, Adler, Darren Criss and Kevin McHale as its supporters.

Glee is exclusive to FOX and the show has been highly successful since it was premiered some two seasons back.
