“The Tourist” Slated For A December 10 Release

Dec 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) For all the ardent Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp fans, it is surely a dream come true. The two biggest star’s of Hollywood are set to dazzle the silver screen for the first time with their latest flick “The Tourist” which is scheduled to hit theaters across United States on December 10. Despite the fact that Angelina Jolie and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star are among the two most popular names in the entertainment industry, ironically both of them never got the chance to work together in any previous project. No prizes for guessing that the upcoming flick has managed to create extensive hype among the cine-goers for whom the prospect of catching both the Hollywood heavyweights in the same screen is too good an opportunity to miss.
The yet-to-be released flick which has been directed by Academy-award winning filmmaker Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, is loosely based on the French feature “Anthony Zimmer which was released in the year 2005. In the movie, “The Mr and Mrs. Smith” star edges the character of Elise Clifton-Ward, an elegant and enigmatic woman who resides in Paris but later has to move to Venice. Meanwhile, Johnny Depp plays the role of Frank Taylor who arrives in Venice to get over a break-up where he meets Angelina Jolie’s character.
“The Tourist” which has been made with the staggering budget of $100 million has already managed to receive a huge media coverage all over the globe which is quite understandable given the fact that Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie are coming together for the very first time.
