‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ earns $3.9 mn on opening day
July 17th, 2010 - 12:01 am ICT by IANSLos Angeles, July 16 (IANS) Nicolas Cage starrer “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” has earned $3.9 million on opening day.
Directed by Jon Turtetaub and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer from Walt Disney Pictures, the film stars Nicolas Cage, Alfred Molina and Jay Baruchel.
The film is an epic comedy adventure about a sorcerer Balthazar Blake (played by Cage) and his hapless apprentice Dave Stuler (played by Baruchel), who are swept into the centre of an ancient conflict between good and evil.
The production of the film cost at least $150 million and is expected to cover in few weeks, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
