‘The Social Network’ earns $23 million over the weekend

The movie is not a blockbuster but yet it managed to beat the horror flick ‘Let Me In’ and ‘Case 39’. The social network did very well over weekends and made huge profit of $23 million.
The movie is directed by David Fincher, the movie is an adult drama based on Facebook which is one of the most popular social networking website. Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook but in the movie the character is played by Jesse Eisenberg.
The most appreciated character was of Justin Timberlake. Sony movie bosses are very happy with the box office collections. Rory Bruer, chief distributor of Sony, told USA Today, that movie has got great reviews, good opening and has worked well in all fronts.He said that, “We couldn’t have been more happy to have a ‘two’ in front of this. We had great reviews, great opening, it worked on all fronts, and we think it’s going to be around for a long, long time.”
He added that Sony movies couldn’t have asked for more when they had two bigger movies to beat. He hopes that movie will earn more over the next coming weekends.
