‘The Social Network’ bags Golden Globe for best film

Los Angeles, Jan 17 (IANS) David Fincher’s “The Social Network” has won the Golden Globe for best motion picture - drama.A drama about the founding of social networking website Facebook and its resulting lawsuits, it features an ensemble cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Brenda Song, Armie Hammer, Max Minghella, Rashida Jones, Joseph Mazzello and Rooney Mara.
It has been adapted from from Ben Mezrich’s 2009 non-fiction book “The Accidental Billionaires”.
It beat competition from the likes of “The King’s Speech”, “Inception”, “Black Swan” and “The Fighter” at the Golden Globe awards here Sunday.
