News Corp is the parent company of FOX and the network says after 23 seasons it is important the show gets it own channel.

Carey assured that, “I wouldn’t say we’re drawing up plans to have a ‘Simpsons’ channel, but, you know, there are a lot of ‘Simpsons’ fans out there.”

The new network if it ever get past the planning stage will air and rerun previous episodes of the famous children’s show. Carey revealed that before an exclusive network for the show could become a reality, the current syndication agreement needed to be changed or FOX will have to wait for at least 12 months.
