Jan 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On “The Rachael Ray Show” today, beauty and style expert, Jenn Falik showed us her favorite new items for sale in 2010. She brought out little shoe accessories that can take old shoes and dress them up to make then new again. They start at around $30. She also had a ginseng gel for the face that will help relieve the puffiness and tired look we sometimes get. She loved the “Kelly Van Gogh” one size fits all highlighting kit. It is good for every hair color and costs around $49.The audience all got bottles of her next favorite, a Vitamin E enriched Bubble Bath, and Dock rain boots, which looked much like the Converse sneakers, were next, and everyone in the audience got a pair. The Stila make up kit, which comes with a free download of make up instructions, for around $69, was number one, and the entire audience got one of these as well! Reviewing all of these talk shows, and seeing all the amazing gifts that they get is seriously making me want to go see a talk show live! I think Rachael would be my pick.

Chef “Rocco DiSpirito” was the next guest on today’s “Rachael Ray Show” and he wanted to show us some of the healthiest foods for 2010! The first snack that he brought was called “Popcorn on the Cob” and it is just what it sounds like, dried popcorn, on a cob, which you pop in the microwave. He also recommends “TVP” which is “Texturized Vegetable Protein” which has the texture of ground beef and is great for “Vegan” recipes. Then he showed us noodles made from a yam. They are called “Shirataki Noodles”, and they have NO calories and NO carbs! You don’t even have to cook them, just take them out of the bag they come in and add to hot broth or water and whatever sauces or seasonings you want. This is a miracle food!! Spaghetti here we come! His last little bit of information was the “Pepquino Cucumber” which is basically a tiny cucumber that looked like a miniature watermelon. Rocco is working on a book of comfort food recipes, where everything in it is under 350 calories. He then showed us one of his recipes for Onion Rings, which you can find here… Onion Rings by Rocco.

Rachael showed us a segment of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” where “Emily VanCamp” was sharing with Jimmy the fact that her mom wanted to meet Rachael Ray, so Emily was the next guest on today’s show, and Rachael flew her parents to New York to get to see Rachael Ray’s show live. She brought everyone in the audience the complete third season of her show “Brothers and Sisters” that airs Sunday nights at 10 pm on ABC.

Rachael took today’s “What’s For Dinner” out of her magazine called “Everyday with Rachael Ray” from the December/January issue. It is called “Quick Potted Spanish Chicken” and looked fabulous, easy, and filling. The recipe can be found here Quick Potted Spanish Chicken. So that’s today’s “Rachael Ray Show, and now we know “What’s for Dinner!”
