On “The Rachael Ray Show today, Rachael’s own dermatologist, “Dr Anne Chapas” to show us a “Dual Laser System to get rid of freckles and age spots. The treatments are from $500 to $1500. She also recommended “Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30, used everyday from age 20 and continue for your whole life.

Dr Chapas also showed us a Zeltiq machine, which freezes fat in the belly, and then encourages the body to naturally get rid of up to 25% of fat from love handles, and back fat. This costs around $1500 to $2000 a treatment. She also showed us a cream, “Bliss Fat Girl Slim” that will help get rid of fat temporarily. She said that no cream will get rid of fat permanently but this is good for a “quick fix.” Finally, she demonstrated how to get rid of crow’s feet, by injecting small amounts of something called Dysport, to soften muscles and smooth the fine lines.

Rachel then shared some of her organization tips. First she advises you to save small mint tins, and jewelry boxes, and place open in a drawer to store different things. jewelry pieces, hair accessories, etc. Then she took wine boxes and used them for show storage in the closet, or, laid sideways in a drawer, storage for underwear and socks.

The next guest on “The Rachael Ray Show” was “Dr. Andrea Goeglein”, Happiness Expert. She said that happiness is basically how you feel yourself about your life. There maybe things in it that aggravate you, but if you are content with your life in general, that is happiness. She shared that one important way to make yourself happier, is simply in the way you speak. Say positive things, or say things in a positive way. Things may be out of our control, but how we react to them is always in our control. She added that we should trade the word “but” for the word”and”. If we say, “Johnny did really good on the test BUT I wish he had gotten a higher score” what we do is disregard the good score totally. “Johnny did really good on the test AND he will get an even higher score next time.” is very positive. Smile more often, even when you don’t feel it, you will actually start to think clearer. Also taking time to say ,”Thank you,” and “I love you” often can improve mood dramatically.

“Bill Rancic”, a money expert and winner of “Apprentice” was on the show to show us all how to form a budget and stick to it, which will help us all improve ourselves financially. He said first, we should save back 5% of our paychecks for a rainy day. Then, check out car insurance and shop around for the cheapest rate. Cell phones are another area where we should research, because there are phones now that you can get unlimited texting and calling for a flat rate of $50 a month. Do NOT use credit cards…period. He recommended that we try Mint.com for an aide in learning to create a budget.

Rachael said that she often writes the recipes for her show very late at night, and tends to get a little cheeky, which is the case for the title of today’s “What’s For Dinner?” She called it “Joly Mole-Rubbed Chicken or Beef Tacos and Mean Green Rice.” You can find the recipe here Joly Mole-Rubbed Chicken or Beef Tacos and Mean Green Rice.

Rachael never fails to make me hungry, and right at lunch time too! Guess I will head to the kitchen and find out “What’s For Lunch.” The tips on today’s show were terrific, and I fully plan on using some of them myself to make life a little easier this year, don’t you?
