President Barack Obama talked about the present state of the economy and said that he realized that the people were hurt and angry with the government. He also added that his primary responsibility was to help recover the economy which he felt was somewhat established. He also said that in spite of the efforts the fact that there was 9.6% unemployment rate, was a harsh reality that people had to face. He also spoke about America’s stance against North Korea which had recently attacked South Korea. President Barack Obama said that America will keep its promise of standing by its allies and would also want to send a message to China that it should try and convince its ally (North Korea) to respect the International laws.
Barbara Walters also touched upon some of the lighter issues on the personal front of the First Couple of the USA. She asked the couple about their life at the White House and also the cooking traditions in the family.
