Yes, the once-odd socks-and-sandals pairing have now become the new fashion and this combo is currently ruling the ramp.
Some of the leading International fashion houses like Burberry, Dior, Prada and Armani promoted the style associating it with the elderly men during the autumn-winter 2010 runway shows.
The trend is even followed by celebs like Chlo adi Sevigny, British telly host Alexa Chung and model Agyness Deyn.
Marisa Fontana, the editor of fashion website Fab Sugar opines that socks-and-sandals had been very popular this winter and would surely make it to the chain stores very soon.
Marisa added, “I will prefer to opt for the grey or neutral socks rather than white socks along with wooden-heeled shoes at the moment.”
