paa-movie-poster-3Dec.04 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The movies dealing with people afflicted with rare diseases generally attract people from various levels of society if the story is told in a convincing way. Today, the much anticipated movie starring Bollywood’s legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son, Abhishek Bachchan will be released. While the son father duo have appeared in a number of movies together earlier, it is the first time Amitabh Bachchan is playing the role of Abhishek Bachchan’s son in celluloid. This has catapulted people’s interest to a further extent even before the release of the movie.

As a matter of fact, Amitabh Bachchan has acted in a number of complicated and multi layered roles in his prolific film career but this is the first time he is acting as a child who ages prematurely. ‘Paa‘ narrates the tale of an intelligent boy named Auro, who is barely 13 years old and suffering from a rare ailment known as Progeria. While Abhishek Bachchan is essaying the role of Auro’s father in Paa, the immensely talented Vidya Balan, will don the hat of his on-screen mother. The role of Abhishek Bachchan’s father is being played by veteran actor Paresh Rawal.

The trailers and promos of the film have made the people curious about the film. A lot of attention has been generated about the unique makeup given to Amitabh Bachchan, which makes the 60 plus actor look like a school going kid. If the movie clicks with the viewers and works well at Box Office, it will work wonders for ABCL- which is producing it. The director of the film, Balki has already worked with Amitabh Bachchan in the critically acclaimed ‘Cheeni Kum’.
