Valeri Bertinelli was the first guest on the “Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson.” She has a book out called “Losing It” and another named “Finding It.” She lost forty pounds two years ago. She said most people who lose weight end up gaining what they lost and more within 5 years. She did not want to be one of those people, so she has been working to be sure she keeps the weight off. Thus the book “Losing It.” She explains that the book “Finding It” has the i-n-g in it because she has not found it yet. She is almost 50 years old, but looks terrific! She and Craig then had a funny conversation about what kinds of seafood they liked. She likes sushi, yet has never tried blow fish. When Craig showed Valeri his rattlesnake drinking mug, she flinched backwards. She does not like snakes, and is more of a cat person.

The next guest was Dave Barry. He is the author of a book for children called “Peter and the Sword of Mercy”. It is a prequel to Peter Pan. He joked about why he would be invited to the late late show, when hopefully no children were watching. He told another joke about a man who was 79 years old, and was stopped by the police because he had driven onto the runway in an airport by accident. Dave went on to tell us that it was a true story, and he found it incredible, because he cannot even get near a plane with a bottle of shampoo, yet here was this guy on the runway in a Chevy Cobalt!
