“The Karate Kid” 2010 Remake Hits Theaters

karateJune 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) All the fans of the 1984 coming of age drama flick “The Karate Kid” have something really big to look forward to this weekend as the latest remake of the highly acclaimed movie released in theaters across United States this Friday.

Anticipation regarding the 2010 version of the martial arts flick had been immensely high among movie goers world wide who have been eagerly waiting to catch the Jackie Chan movie for quite some time now. Their long wait is finally over as the remake of “The Karate Kid” has hit U.S. theaters and is gearing up for a grand release all across the world.

The much awaited flick which stars action icon Jackie Chan and 11-year-old Jaden Smith, who is the son of none other than Hollywood star Will Smith, who has taken care of the production responsibilities of the movie.

Although the job of remaking an immensely successful film might seem to be quite a task, director Harald Zwart supposedly shot the flick on his own terms. While talking about his latest venture, the much acclaimed director hinted that managing the huge crew while the filming of the movie was going on in China was indeed an uphill task but he treated the flick as an independent with extensive amount of scopes to explore.

Meanwhile, industry insiders have pointed out that it would be surprising if the 2010 edition of “The Karate Kid” turns out to be a huge hit owing to huge amount of hype that the flick has been successful in generating among the audiences.
