The creators of “South Park” have roped in the Jonas brothers for the show’s 13th season premiere to improve their show ratings.

The Jonas Brothers will not actually appear on the animated series but there will be references to them in a mocking way. In the episode Kenny and his new girlfriend go to a Jonas Brothers concert hoping to make an inroad to her heart and body but the Jonas Brothers dash his hopes when they give him purity rings.

The Jonas Brothers have a history of raking up a show’s viewer ratings. On MTV’s Video Music Awards reported the highest overall audience and largest teen audience in four years when they made an appearance on the show for the first time in 2008. Then again they performed on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars and the show registered the highest teen audience of the season.

The Jonas Brothers helped increase the ratings on the premiere of Disney’s “Camp Rock” with 10 million viewers. Next at “Hannah Montana” in August 2007, the Jonas Brothers co-starred to make it basic cable’s highest-rated series of all time with viewership over 10.7 million.

Then at Grammycast increased viewership by 32 percent when the Jonas Brothers were on a first-ever Grammy performance.

It is not always easy to mock the Jonas Brothers and get away with it. VMA Host Russell Brand had mocked the Jonas Brothers for their purity rings saying, “I’d take it a little more seriously if they’d wear it on their genitals.” Later when Jordin Sparks appeared on the show as presenter and said, “Not everybody — guy or girl — wants to be a slut,” Brand was made to apologize, “I’ve gotta say ‘Sorry’ because I said those things about promise rings; that was bad of me. I didn’t mean to take it lightly. I love Jonas Brothers, I think it’s really good. I don’t want to [knicker-knot] teenage fans. . . . Promise rings, I’m well up for it. Well done, everyone. . . . It’s just, a bit of sex occasionally never hurt anybody.”
