The Incredible’s Bird to helm Mission Impossible 4

London, May 8 (ANI): Brad Bird, director of ‘The Incredibles’, is set to direct the fourth Mission: Impossible, starring Tom Cruise.
“Everything’s signed… Brad is doing it,” BBC News quoted the actor telling Empire magazine. Cruise called Bird “enormously talented”.
The movie will be co-produced by Mission: Impossible III director JJ Abrams.
“JJ and I are having a blast, cranking away,” Cruise is quoted as saying.
This venture will be the first live-action feature from US filmmaker Bird. His earlier films include three animated features - The Iron Giant, a 1999 adaptation of the Ted Hughes story; superhero comedy The Incredibles in 2004; and Ratatouille in 2007, another Pixar production.
Now, two years later, the chairman of Viacom, Paramount’s parent company Viacom said he would not mind working with Cruise in the lucrative action series.
The first two movies in the Mission: Impossible series, released in 1996 and 2000, were directed by Brian De Palma and John Woo respectively. (ANI)
