‘The Green Hornet’ tops US box office

Los Angeles, Jan 17 (IANS) Seth Rogen starrer “The Green Hornet” has topped US box office by earning $34 million in the opening weekend.Directed by Michel Gondry, the film managed to entertain audience with special effects, but reviewers have panned the project. The star cast includes Cameron Diaz and Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The second position went to “The Dilemma” - the comedy raked in an estimated $17.4 million during the weekend. Last week’s winner “True Grit” is on the third spot with an estimated $11.2 million earning. “The King’s Speech” and “Black Swan” warpped up the top five with $9.1 million and $8.1 million.
