Los Angeles, May 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) ‘The Golden Girls’ Betty White and Bea Arthur were involved in a long standing feud. On screen they appeared as people who had a lot of love for each other, but off screen the reality was way different.

This long standing feud that was strictly off-screen came to light when Betty White spilled the beans in her book ‘If You Ask Me’. According to her, Bea Arthur wasn’t very friendly and happy with Betty, despite their on screen chemistry with each other.

According to Betty White, “She was not that fond of me. She found me a pain in the neck sometimes. It was my positive attitude — and that made Bea mad sometimes. Sometimes if I was happy, she’d be furious!”

This rivalry may also be due to the fact that it was Betty and not Bea who won the first Emmy as a cast member for the show.

However, despite her age, Betty White seems to be having a whale of her time these days. Recently there were reports that she was still dating and she is a regular feature in comedy shows and she had even nailed the script in her capacity as the host of Saturday Night Live.
