The Five Heartbeats tops Greatest Black Movies list

Washington, Feb 29 (ANI): Music drama The Five Heartbeats has bagged the top spot in the list naming the best urban movies of all time.

Written and produced by its star Robert Townsend, the 1991 film follows the rise and fall of a 1960s African-American vocal group, reports Contactmusic.

A Solider’s Story stood second while Steven Spielberg’s The Color Purple landed the third spot on the AOL Black Voices website list.

Cooley High was at the fourth position while Ray took the fifth place.
