September 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): As per the news collected from the Billboard.biz, IRON MAIDEN’s latest album called “The Final Frontier” from EMI, has topped Billboard’s Euro-Albums chart. The album from these Heavy Metal legends did this in the second week in a row.
The album toppled its predecessor “A Matter of Life and Death”, which had just one week at the pan - European pinnacle in the year 2006. The latest from Iron Maiden, has scored the highest rank in Italy along with places like France, Spain, Czech Republic, Sweden and Norway. The album however, drops from the top spot in the UK, Denmark, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
“The Final Frontier” has so far sold 63,000 copies in the United States of America. The album sold 63,000 copies just in its first week of release and entered The Billboard 200 Chart at the fourth position.
