“The Fighter” A Proud Achievement In Mark Wahlberg’s Life

This has surely created a buzz in the Hollywood circle which is gearing up for the Oscars slated to happen in a few months.

After stirring up some controversy with his statements some time back, that M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Happening” was “a bad movie” which he had worked in, this time the actor was seen making a statement with a better edge. In fact this has come to be the best statement from his side. The actor said in an interview that his upcoming movie “The Fighter” is supposedly the best thing to have ever happened to him. His confession has surely made some good news for Mark Wahlberg’s fans who are now very excited for the star’s forthcoming film. It was evident that he actor was lay strictly to his remark, since he stressed out the fact very much.

Another source claims that “The Fighter” is based on the life of retired boxer Micky Ward. Mark Wahlberg said that he has been training for four long years to keep himself in shape for this particular role and that Micky Ward himself had helped him out in the preparations. For the actor to fit in Mickey Ward’s shoes on the silver screen, was an honor, since Mickey Ward has been his idol in his growing years. He was seen telling that the buzz in the air is that “The Fighter” is being regarded as one of the heavy weights for the forthcoming Academy Awards 2011.
