The Expendables star Sylvester Stallone got a neck injury while shooting

Sylvester Stallone New York City, Jan 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Expendables star Sylvester Stallone, has revealed that disclosed to FHM magazine that he got a neck injury, while he was shooting for his new movie. The injury to his neck was so bad that eventually he had to undergo surgery and also have a metal plate put in place.

The injury happened while he was filming a fight scene. He and wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin were filming a “vicious” fight scene when he was injured, he said that, “Actually, my fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I’m not joking. I haven’t told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterward. I now have a metal plate in my neck.”

Apparently the fight scene was very intense and both the stars got so carried away with the scene that they didn’t realize that one of them would eventually suffer a real injury. Instead of being a mock stunt it became a real stunt for Stallone.

The other stars in the movie ‘The Expendables’ are Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is due for a mid 2010 wide release.
