The Ellen Show When today’s show opens, Ellen is pulling member of the audience out to show off their talents. Nick Pattera sang, “It’s A Whole New World”, actually doing both parts(male and female) of this duet, and as odd as it was, he did an awesome job! Next came Lauren Peterson, who was chosen by Ellen and who’s talent is being able to stand on her head to place a ghat on her head. After much twisting and bending she was somehow able to pull this off. Terry Adams came up next to perform bicycles tricks. With a series of flips and turns, he puts on quite a “balanced” performance.

After a break, “Vince Vaughn”, from the movie “Couples Retreat” is sitting in the chair by Ellen. He shared a story that, in his own words, was “the most bizarre and humiliating experience of my whole life.” This was in fifth grade when his music teacher picked him to play the violin. He did not know a note of music, and once on stage, he simply followed the motions of the other bows, but never touched the strings. He said of his teacher, “I kept waiting for her to send me home, she never did! My rendition was not unlike cats screaming on a roof!”

He then described for “The Ellen Degeneres Show” what it was like for him, to swim with sharks while shooting the film “Couples Retreat” with “Jason Bateman” in Bora Bora. “Growing up in the Midwest, where it was flat and cold, this was an experience which I never had and never wanted to have.” He then went on to say what a beautiful time it was for him after he was calm and relaxed.

He then played “Name That Tune” with the audience of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”. Audience members hummed a tune and he guessed what they were. The participating audience members got Ipod Nanos, and then rest of the audience whined because they didn’t get one. Ellen apologized “I just don’t have enough!”. It was so funny! And then, of course Ellen had to dance along with the tune. This part of the show gave me a much needed laugh.

“Pete Yorn” and “Scarlette Johansen” performed, and although it was not my favorite type of music, they did an awesome job and looked great. Everyone in the audience got a copy of their new CD, “Breakup”.

“Tiffany” , from the audience, then volunteered to be dunked. For every person dunked on Ellen’s show, $10,000 is donated to “Ellen For The Cure” for breast cancer. Ellen missed with all three balls, but walked up to the bullseye and dunked Tiffany anyway. It was a great show!
