Feb 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) For today’s Ellen DeGeneres Show Ellen send out a “Tweet” to her audience who lives in New Orleans in honor of Mardi Gras. She announced that she is giving all of them a chance to win a Carnival Cruise for four nights. To win, the contestants have to create the best outfit for Mardi Gras Celebration. Jeanie was on location in New Orleans with hundreds of screaming people in the street below her. The contestants were given thirty minutes to return to the streets in their most creative Mardi Gras outfit. After this announcement Ellen performed her daily dance around the studio.

The first guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today was Ali Dino who chose to leave The Bachelor to keep her job. Ali had called the show last night to tell Jake that she wanted another chance, but he told her that he had more feelings for others girls on the show than for her. Ali admitted that she was shocked by that. She said that she thinks Jake may pick Vienna, although she did not realize that they had the connection that they do. She also said that she would love to be the next bachelorette, but she did not know about her job.

Kellie Pickler was the next guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Although she has never been to Mardi Gras, her first concert after American Idol was in New Orleans. Today was her 62 year old grandfather’s birthday, but he would not come out on stage. She shared with Ellen that she had gotten pulled over again. “You are the worst driver!” Ellen exclaimed. “Well it wasn’t my fault,” Kellie laughed. “I was doing 45 in a 30,” she explained,” you can do like 5 miles over the speed limit, they won’t care.” But Kellie did not have her license because they had gotten caught in her clothes dryer. So she had to pass a sobriety test. Kellie ended her interview by announcing that she wants to be the next bachelorette.

Kellie helped Ellen play today’s game for Game Week. The game was called “Guess-tures” and featured Kellie and Ellen acting out words connected to Mardi Gras in a charades type fashion. The winner got a ten speed bicycle, a Honda scooter, and a chance to come back Friday for a chance to win a GMC Terrain, just as all of this week’s winners will.

Sade came out next to perform her hit song, “Soldier of Love.” This song is from her new album, which is the first one she has produced since 2000. Everyone in the audience got a copy of the new CD.

The winner of the four night cruise was a man named Cory, whose Mardi Gras outfit was himself, dressed as Ellen, with a huge Ellen mask on. Three runners up won $500 gift cards.
