Jan 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) As I am sure you all know, “Ellen DeGeneres” will be starring on “American Idol” this season. She is to be the new judge who will take the place of “Paula Abdul.” Well,at the beginning of today’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show” Ellen showed us a few very funny photo shopped pictures of her with the other Idol judges. There was one picture of them all at “The Price is Right” where she said Simon kept irritating her by just repeatedly bidding a dollar. Then there was another faked picture of them on the beach, and another of Simon entering a “wet t-shirt contest.” They were all hilarious.

On Wednesday night, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” won “The People’s Choice Award” for best talk show. She took cameras along with her that night so that we could see what happened before the show and back-screen. “Queen Latifa” called Ellen out to get her award, which was her 11th one. Ellen joked “Oprah I love you, and I was sorry to hear your show got canceled, and so I will share this with you.”

Jackie Chan was the guest of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” today. His new film is titled, “The Spy Next Door” and will be in theaters soon. Ellen had Jackie call information, and ask for “Pink Berry.” He sounded as if he were saying “ping barry” and the robotic answering service on the other line finally transferred him to an operator. It was pretty funny. Ellen asked him how his holidays were, and he said “Holidays? I don’t have…I am not like Chris Tucker, one show-6 years,” to which the audience exploded into laughter. He went on, “Chris is waiting for Rush Hour 4, by the time we make Rush Hour 4 we will be 50? I am just filming filming filming, no time for holidays.” Then Ellen asked him to sing, and he did…an “Elvis Presley”number, “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You.” He said if he is ever reborn again, he wants to be a singer, not an action star.

Anna Kendrick was the next star on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” today. She told us how great it is to work with both “George Clooney” and “Robert Pattinson”. She stars with George Clooney in “Up in the Air” and, of course, with Robert Pattinson in “Twilight.”She flew back and forth, filming both at the same time.
