Los Angeles, Oct 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The trailer of the movie “The Dilemma” was showcased this weekend and it has generated enough controversy.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper and the GLAAD have launched a complaint on the movie about the use of the word “Gay” in the movie.

Anderson Cooper appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres later to throw more light on the complaint. The movie features Vince Vaughan, Jennifer Connelly and Winona Ryder among other stars.

Along with Anderson’s complaint, GLAAD has increased the pressure on Universal Studios to recall the trailer from the cinemas and on the Internet.

The particular scene that has generated a lot of controversy saw Vince Vaughan calling an electrical car “gay”. In the trailer, he said “Not homosexual gay, but your-parents-chaperoning-you-at-the-dance gay” and that line got furious response from Anderson and GLAAD.

On the Ellen DeGeneres show, Anderson told Ellen that he was shocked that the movie producers put that part of the movie in the trailer. Anderson fumed that the “gay” word was not appropriate for children and urged fellow Americans to help do something to the word.
