The DGA Awards List Of Nominations Announced

The nominations for the DGA Awards have been announced and the list of nominees is quite astounding. The leading nominees are from HBO due to an array of projects aired in 2010.
The gala event which is to be held on 29th January, at the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood and Highland is one of its kind and it indeed an honor to be nominated under the DGA Awards in any category whatsoever.
The awards are certainly quite crucial for all in the world of television and advertising. This year the DGA completes 75 years and it is going to be a great honor for all those who are even nominated under the prestigious Awards.
The leading nominees are from HBO, as usual, leads in the nomination list of DGA Awards with a string of its 2010 projects.
‘Pacific’ takes in three nods with accolades for David Nutter who directed the eighth episode, Tim van Patten who directed ‘Part 9′ and Jeremy Podeswa who directed the series finale.
Meanwhile, ‘Boardwalk’ receives the two nods in Dramatic Series, one for Martin Scorsese who directed the pilot and the other for Allen Couter who directed the 11th episode called ‘Paris Green’. Scorsese had received 8 DGA nominations but this is his first in TV.
Board walk Empire received two nominations in the Dramatic series. It had one for Martin Scorsese who had directed the pilot episode and the other one is for the eleventh episode called ‘Paris Green’, directed by Allan Couter.Despite having received a total of 8 DGA nominations, this is the first one for television that Martin Scorsese has received.
Temple Grandin, You Don’t’ Know Jack have all got into the list of nominations.
ABC’S list of nominations include ‘Modern Family’, the nods have come in for Steve Levitan and Michael Spiller. This popular comedy series will take its finale with episodic directors of ’30 Rock’, ‘Glee’, and ‘Entourage’.
Next in line are the list of reality shows which have very distinct names like ‘The Hills’, ‘The Next Iron Chef’,’ Private Chefs of Beverly Hills: Challah Back’, ‘Master Chef’, and ‘The Amazing Race’.
The other categories that are to be honored include children’s list of serials, commercials, music variety etc.
