Jan 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Dylan discovers that Katie has been sleeping with the boss at the law firm where they both work. She explains to Dylan that she broke it off, but Cliff refuses to let her go. Cliff Huddle played by Billy Zane, is married to one of the partners in the high priced law firm. Katie demands Cliff to back off anyone he thinks she may be interested in, she explains to him that relationship is over and if he can’t handle that she will tell his wife. Cliff says he already told her, but Katie knows he is lying and calls his bluff. Afraid she may go to his wife and reveal the affair Cliff tells Susan of the encounter he has been having with Katie. Susan makes Katie a generous offer with another law firm in Montana and she finds her self-packing up her things and taking the offer.

Beth is brought in to handle a case that will pit her against her father ’s law firm. With her father disappointed because she chose to work for a different law firm, he has made her life a bit difficult. Beth’s father tricks her into believing the witness she has to testify against a malfunctioned furnace is not creditworthy, she decides to not let him testify therefore destroying her case. Finding another way to go about wining the case to prove to her father she is a good lawyer Beth finds that her father is illegally destroying documents proving the heating company is at fault for killing a man.

Malcolm and Addy are legating a case concerning what they believe to be medication misuse, until the medication in question is delivered to their office and they see that is it marijuana. When the DA office gets word that pot was being held at the Sterling law firm an investigation takes place and a search finds a duffel bag of marijuana. When the DA tries to get the whole firm to be shut down Hart Sterling takes the fall and admits the pot is his. While investigating more into the misuse of the medication in question, Addy and Malcolm find that it is medical marijuana and begins to find patients with prescriptions that have paid for the medical pot. The case is dropped and the patients receive their portions of the duffel bag marijuana.
