The Cook Yourself Thin Cookbook, premieres tonight on Lifetime. It is based on a book of the same name.
Cook Yourself Thin Cookbook, which will make its first appearance on Lifetime on May 4, has been a success on British TV. The show is supposed to show cooking methods that use more flavor and lesser calories. The hosts are Harry Eastwood, Allison Fishman and Candice Kumai. Candice may be familiar to the TV audience because she participated in Season 1 of Bravo’s “Top Chef”. She is also often seen on KNBC’s “Your LA” .
Though people are often sceptical of cookbooks this one has been a success on TV and also in its book form. The book is different from other cookbooks because it does not list exotic ingredients and is very user friendly. would likThe recipes are those that are common favorites, only differences being that the recipes are created with low calorie ingredients and methods. Some recipes are: soups, roast chicken, and fish and chips. All the main course recipes are about 500 calories. Again there are tips to cut down more or go up a step or two. The book also has tips on everyday exercise, tips for snacks, drinks and some general tips as well.
It is being expected that the Lifetime show will garner much audience interest. The theme of the show is certainly of interest to people and its unique presentation and content are sure to do the rest of the trick.
