“The Biggest Loser” 10th Season Premiered On NBC

Sep 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The tenth season of one of the most watched reality show, “The Biggest Loser”, was premiered on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on NBC. “The Biggest Loser” is a reality show that aims to reduce the weight of obese people through rigorous workouts and abstaining them from other temptations, that results to weight gain. The contestant who is able to lose the maximum wins the ‘biggest loser’ title at the end of the season.
In this season’s premier, Jillian and the trainers will travel to different cities in United States to find the most determined contestants, and then shortlist the best 21 out of them. The theme of this season is “Paying It Forward”, and this time, the trainers will not only be motivating just the contestants, but also the entire community. On the premier episode, only 14 of the 21 contestants were chosen from seven cities, while the rests will be invited in the up-coming episodes. Although in the last few seasons, the contestants were put into teams and pairs, this time, the tasks will be performed in singles, thereby bringing the show back to its oldest format with just twenty-one contestants.
The name of the final contestants for this season are Jesse Atkins, Montina Cooper, Sandy Dolan, Anna Wright, Corey Pinkerton, Shanna Masten, Poundstt, Jessica Delfs, Aaron Thompkins, Lisa Mosely, Alfredo Dinten, Allie Ishcomer, Mark Pinhasovich, Elizabeth Ruiz, Brendan Donovan, Ada Wong, Patrick House, Burgandy Keel, Adam Hurtado, Sophia Franklin, Tina Elliott and Richard DeRoque. Amongst all these obese people, Aaron Thompkins tops the list with 468 pounds. “The Biggest Loser” has always been a very popular show on NBC. However, this time it might face a major competition from other popular shows, which are being aired on the same time slot.
