lohan1 July 9, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The last few months have been harrowing for the actress, Lindsay Lohan. Her association with distress has appeared to be unbreakable in these months. Recently, Lindsay Lohan was awarded a nasty punishment by a courthouse. She was sentenced to 90 days in prison. Now, her already miserable state of affairs has encountered an additional disappointment. She has had to endure a bit of a setback in her $100 million lawsuit against E-Trade.

What has happened is that Lohan has taken E-Trade to the court. E-Trade is a financial company headquartered in Manhattan. She has dragged the company to court accusing it of slander. Lohan has declared in the lawsuit that one of the advertisements of the company consists of a ‘milkaholic’ toddler, whose name is Lindsay. Lindsay Lohan happens to believe that the character of the toddler in the advertisement is based on her. Her attorneys have declared that Lindsay Lohan’s E-Trade lawsuit is rooted in the reality that she possesses the same ‘one name recognition’ as Oprah and they desire $100 million for hurt and anguish.

The lawsuit of Lohan was, in the beginning, launched in the Nassau County Supreme Court as her attorneys have mentioned that that is the area in which Lohan resides. Nonetheless, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice, James Yates, has supplied his endorsement for the plea of E-Trade, which was to have the case relocated to the city. Some months back, E-Trade had launched an appeal for the rejection of the case. They deemed that the accusations of Lohan did not possess merit.

Yates had inscribed a declaration that the sworn statement of the complainant does not divulge any data about the manner in which the complainant carves up the time between her houses or how long she spends in each house. This shortage of corroboration is inadequate to demonstrate habitation in the Nassau County.
