225px-rick_perry_in_march_2010Jan 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Texas Governor Rick Perry will very soon be seen on the silver screen! The Texas Governor who is believed to be one of the key figures behind bringing the movie “Deep in the Heart” to Texas, has done a cameo in the film. Last week, the Governor was seen taking some time out of his busy schedule to shoot his portion for ”Deep in the Heart”. According to sources, the Governor appeared for the shooting schedule on Thursday.

In spite of the fact that last week was the opening week of the 82nd legislative session, the busy Governor made sure that he took some time out of it to fulfill the commitment that he had promised to the makers of the movie. “Deep in the Heart” is being extensively shot in and around Austin and is based on the life of Richard Wallrath, who has made the single largest donation to Texas 4-H and Texas FFA. The Texas Governor is a personal friend of Richard Wallrath. Brian A. Hoffman, who is both the screenwriter and producer of “Deep in the Heart” revealed that receiving such a warm welcome from the Texas Governor was indeed special.

It seems like Rick Perry has an edge for acting in movies since “Deep in the Heart” is not the first movie where he has acted. Earlier, he had also stared in the Tommy Lee Jones starer “Man of the House” which released in 2005. The Texas Governor had played himself in “Man of the House”. The Texas Governor’s fascination for acting in films is bound to remind one of actor-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger. While Arnold Schwarzenegger who now is the Governor of California took to politics from movies, Rick Perry is showing a knack for joining acting from politics.
