Under the guise of tweeting congratulatory messages to him on the Twitter Page, Terrell Owens revealed the news of Cleveland Brown’s newest starting quarterback, Brady Quinns. Cleveland coach had sought to keep the matter a closely guarded secret until the match that had been scheduled on Sunday, but the news was let slip by Owens on the afternoon of Wednesday last.

On September 9, at about 2:30 p.m. ET, Owens started posting the tweets on his official Twitter account, beginning with congratulating Quinn. After the news was out, it is said to have been confirmed by Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. Cabot is said to have stated that the Cleveland coach, Eric Mangini, had even discussed the matter with Derek Anderson as well as Quinn, for which Quinn had even attended the practice session the next day.

How Owens came to know of the news is something that has remained relative unknown till now. Also, why he actually went ahead and beamed it for all to see, is not too clear too. However, it was a very shocking revelation, as most had known that Quinn was to be the starter for the match, so there was no harm done actually.

Following the finish of the match on Monday night, Owens displayed quite a shocking behavior. He did not talk to the media. On the way to the airport, after his team went down to the Patriots at 25-24, he Tweeted “On the bus headed 2 airport. Cn’t wait 2 get hm & get n the bed! We’ll b ready next week! I promise u that!!’ as well as “Congrats 2 the Pats.”
