Aug 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sting, who has already managed to conquer playing the lute, leading the police, a very successful singing career, environmental activist, and organic farming, is now all ready to branch out with his newest challenge, an organic foods shop keeper.

The fifty eight year old musician has been raising organic foods on his 900 acre farm for quite a few years, and selling it directly to outlets which were located in the United States as well as Britain. This is the first time, however, that fans will have the chance to show up at the singer’s gate of his farm known as “Il Palagio” and purchase his wine, oil, acacia honey, as well as specialty salami which is made from a local breed of pig.

The Grand Opening of the farm was held on Wednesday, in the presence of neighbors, villagers, and the Mayor fof the closest town, Figline Valdarno. Sting stated that their was a close “rapport” between good food and good music. “If I don’t eat well, I can’t sing,” he said.

There are about 15 people who work on the estate, which was purchased by Sting in 1997. It lies about 20 south east of France.
