The Teen Choice Awards took place on Sunday night in Universal City at the huge Gibson Amphitheater and it saw teen beauty Miley Cyrus, teen sensation the Jonas Brothers and “Twilight” the drama getting all the attention of the American audience. Cyrus walked away with 6 surf-board shape trophies which were won for her comic role in the T.V. show “Hannah Montanna”, for her hit single “The Climb ” and for the beautiful song “Before the Storm”.

However the limelight of the invigorating late-evening award show was the favorite for this year’s ceremony, the movie “Twilight” which bagged a wholesome 9 movie awards! It was for various categories like fresh face (female) Ashley Greene, fresh face (male) Taylor Lautner - who will show up on the sequel soon to be telecast “New Moon”. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison both won in the drama category.

The audience were enthralled and overjoyed with the catchy number “Much Better” performed by Jonas Brothers who won 5 trophies for their T.V. show “Jonas”.

This was the 11th annual ceremony at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Gibson Amphitheater. Miley Cyrus also handed over the ultimate choice award to the gorgeous Britney Spears, who appeared rather subdued at the reception. About Spears, Miley Cyrus said “I am a huge fan of hers.” The actress had auditioned when she was only 12 years old for the lead character of Miley Stewart in Disney.Her movie Hanna Montanna was released on April 10th 2009. “The Last Song ” is her most recent movie.

Other eminent winners Of the Teen Choice Awards were; “Gossip Girl”, Efron won for actor in “High School Musical 3 ” and comic actor and rock star appearance in “17 Again”. The awards show decides upon its nominations with due respect to the American votes made online.The awards deal with sports,fashion, music and the movie world.
