New York, Dec 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In the wake of the death of North Korea’s Kim Jong II, the comedy “Team America” has been trending on miniblog site Twitter. The North Korean dictator died of heart attack last week.

Twitter was abuzz with topics related to the late ruler but several users admitted that they have no knowledge of Kim except the reference from the 2004 film from Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

Twitter user @AliceLillibet joked that, “That awkard moment when you realize your knowledge of kim jong il is mostly formed of Team America references.” Another tweet from @SamTheGreater agreed with that view saying that, “Is it sad the only point of reference I have for Kim Jong il comes from Team America?”

Kim mostly evaded public appearances. He was considered one of the dangerous personalities to the peace of the world after he led the impoverished Korean nation to invest massively nuclear weaponry.

The country faced international isolation after they carried out two nuclear tests in 2006 and 2009. The action complicated the four-nation talks which involved the US, China and South Korea.

He died on the 17th of December at the age of 69 years.
