TBS is touting Conan O’Brien for an Emmy for his NBC show

conan TBS is touting Conan O’Brien for an Emmy. And the unprecedented and the most ironical thing is that, TBS is touting him for an Emmy Award for his NBC show ‘The Tonight Show’. And TBS is leaving no stone unturned in this endeavor and Emmy campaign.

They are also planning to launch a print ads campaign for Conan O’Brien too. Print advertisements would appear in the Hollywood trade publications, which would encourage the readers to vote for Conan. One of the advertisements reads as, “For your consideration, outstanding achievement in the use of SPF 150. From your new friends at TBS.”

TBS is taking such a big interest in Conan, because he is going to host a show on TBS. The show would make its debut on TBS on the 8th of November. The Emmy nominations would be released on the 8th of July, and the award ceremony would be held on the 29th of August on NBC.

Turner Entertainment Networks President Steve Koonin said in a statement that, “Conan’s great work in 2009 and 2010 deserves Emmy consideration. We’re very excited to have him join TBS later this year.”
