Los Angeles, Nov 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Taylor Swift who swept the CMA awards with 5 wins has now given a repeat performance at the American Music Awards. She stole the show at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles Sunday night, and in a thrilling performance even edged out the late King of Pop Michael Jackson for the Artist of the Year crown.

She was stunned at the announcement that she had edged out Michael Jackson to win the Artist of the Year crown. “I just want to say that music has never been ultimately about competition,” said the humble 19-year-old, who walked away with a total of five trophies Sunday night. “To even be mentioned in the same category with Michael Jackson, who we all love and will miss forever, is an unimaginable honor.”

Taylor Swift very humbly thanked the Jackson family members for their support, giving a special mention to the youngest of the clan, Janet. “To the fans, you’ve given me so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving,” she said on a live feed from London, where she is on tour.

Since her win she is very hot on Twitter as well, with her fans and critics tweeting about her sweep of the awards.
