It has almost been a week since Kanye West ambushed singing sensation Taylor Swift on the podium of the MTV 2009 VMA, in front of millions of viewers. The incident had gone on to receive maximum coverage completely, through the whole of last week, with most people turning a sympathetic face towards Swift.

Talking about the incident later in the evening at the press conference, Swift said that her reaction had been happy to see West on stage initially. She told the gathered press, “I was really excited, because I had won the award. And then I was really excited because Kanye West was onstage. And then I wasn’t so excited any more after that.”

Now, the singer is all ready to put the incident behind her, as she has told the Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush on Friday morning during “The Billy Bush Show”, “[It's] definitely been an interesting week, I can tell you that. I just really appreciate all the support and the love that’s been sent my way.” Meaning the abundant support she has received after the incident from her contemporaries like Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Janet Jackson, John Mayer, to name a few. Most of all, she thanked Beyonce for her gracious act at the VMA.

She had also thanked her mom for backing her on the incident and “telling off” West at the VMAs, saying that, “My mom is awesome and she’s wonderful to have on the road and she’s very real. And she’s first and foremost a mom.” She also thanked her fans immensely, for showing their support to her, after her nasty experience.
