The much talked but never officially confirmed alliance between American country pop singer Taylor Swift and actor Jake Gyllenhaal has ended with the year 2010.

Since the beginning, they looked like a quite odd couple but Swift was supposedly bowled over by Jake’s sweet and easy personality. No reason has been announced for this break up as they never announced their relationship. However, it barely lasted for a month and ended by the end of 2010.

However, we can’t conclude anything regarding who has dumped whom because no comments have been made by both sides. Considering the past records, it is assumed that Swift might have shown the red signal as she says that she has a phobia about falling in the wrong relationship. She has been quoted saying that whenever she feels that a person is not the right one, she does not waste their time to say it quit.

The 21 year old pop singer was spotted with Jake several times in her hometown Nashville and in New York. She also accompanied the 30 year old actor during the promotion of his film Love and Other Drugs in London. On her 21st birthday, Jake had reportedly presented her a $100,000 bracelet. He also took Swift to meet his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal and his family.

They were last time spotted together during ‘Thanksgiving’. Both of them started their New Year separately. She welcomed 2011 in Nashvile and he was in New York. On the following day, Jake was spotted along during the closing party for Broadway’s ‘Fela!’

It seems Taylor was never so serious about Jake and opted look for new opportunities in the New Year!
