Taylor Swift named artist of the year
May 19th, 2010 - 12:45 pm ICT by IANSLondon, May 19 (IANS) Country singer Taylor Swift has been named Artist of the Year by the National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM).
“We are thrilled to welcome Taylor back to NARM, and we are especially proud to recognise her extraordinary creative and commercial achievements with our Artist of the Year Award,” contactmusic.com quoted NARM President Jim Donio as saying.
“She has made a brilliant and stellar contribution to the music industry in just a few years and we congratulate her on this much-deserved honour,” he added.
The “Love Story” hitmaker was honoured at the NARM’s annual gala in Chicago.
