Taylor Swift is the new face of ‘CoverGirl’

Los Angeles, May 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Taylor Swift has been announced as the new face of ‘CoverGirl’. In the past other gorgeous ladies like Drew Barrymore, Rihanna, Queen Latifah and Ellen DeGeneres have also been the face of the brand. Taylor Swift is very happy with the announcement and said that it’s a “dream come true” to be the cosmetics brand’s spokesperson. However her fans would have to wait awhile to see her in the advertisements, as they would start airing in the next year.
“I am so excited to become the next CoverGirl. I have admired many of the CoverGirls since I was a little girl . . . great artists and actresses who are confident and still themselves. It’s like a dream come true to be a part of the future of CoverGirl,” said the 20 years old Grammy award winner. And according to reports, she would do advertisements for a new line of luxury products, from the CoverGirl stable.
Last year there were also reports that Taylor Swift would play Supergirl in a remake of the 1984 movie, which starred Helen Slater in the lead role. The award-winning country music star Taylor who had a turn in the upcoming ensemble-dating flick Valentine’s Day, is viewed as one of the few actresses fit for the tricky role of a female hero.
