Despite the fact that the couple was photographed looking cozily happy several times in the last two months, the thirty year old Gyllenhaal was said to have blindsided the twenty one year old Swift, when he chose to dump her…in a phone call.

Sources report that Swift is completely torn up by the complete 180 degree turn which Gyllenhall pulled on her, which was completely out of the blue. It was the thirty year old Jake, who sent his agent to get in touch with the then twenty year old Swift, asking her out back in October. It was Jake who pursued Taylor, asking her to eat Thanksgiving Dinner with his family. The source explained, “It was a 180-degree turn and so out of the blue. Jake just told her it wasn’t working out… Taylor is really upset and hurt. She doesn’t know what she did for him to put a stop to it. She feels really burned by him,”

According to the NYDailyNews, Taylor is very likely to write a song, pouring out her feelings, as she heals from this breakup. After John Mayer did something similar, he was rewarded with a mention in her next album, in the track which was ironically called,” Dear John.” It would not be the first time that she is believed to have taken her heart ache and turned it into a song. “Back to December” is believed to have been written about Taylor Lautner, and “Tears on my Guitar” is also thought to be about an ex.
