A scene from upcoming Telugu film ‘Vasthadu Naa Raju’ was met with disapproval from the censor board of the country since the particular shot revealed a little too much of the navel of the lead actress of the Tollywood venture. According to reports in the media, actress Tapasee’s navel shot proved to be too much for the censor board and they decided it as not fit for public viewing. The decision comes as a surprise to the Telugu film industry where explicit content in films is very common.
The scene which was asked to be deleted from the upcoming release is part of a song and dance sequence that was shot in the city of Venice in Italy. The producers of the film are reportedly miffed by the verdict of the censor board because a huge amount of money had been spent in the filming of the song. ‘Vasthadu Naa Raju’ also stars Vishnu Manchu opposite Tapasee. In a statement to the media, Vishnu Manchu said that the decision taken by the censor board of the country surprised him beyond a doubt because according to him the particular shot which was asked to be deleted from the film was nothing close to vulgar. In fact several such shots are shown in almost every Telugu film, says that actor.
The censor board has only taken a look at the ‘Vasthadu Naa Raju’ trailer. The entire film will be shown and certified later, says media reports. Hence it is still to be seen whether the censor board finds any adult material in the romantic – action film.
