Tanya Tucker’s Album “My Turn” Released

The Grammy Award winner, Tanya Tucker, has reportedly been promoting her new album, “My Turn”, since Thursday July 9, 2009, in New York City. Tucker’s latest album was released on the 30th of June, 2009. She is supposedly going to make appearances on NBC’s Better TV, Fox News and the Fox Business Channel. Among her other scheduled guests, two are going to appear on the Game Show Network and the Associated Press Television respectively.
Tucker is the winner of numerous prestigious awards that have adorned her long professional career for a considerably long time; awards such as Country Music Association, CMT and the Academy of Country Music Awards. She has been considered as the Taylor Swift of her time and her immensely long music career spanning a long stretch of 4 decades, had been launched at the early age of 15. Tucker has 50 singles, which gained entry on the country chart’s top hit singles.
Tucker had to be admitted to a rehab center after her break up with singer Glen Campbell. After her emergence from the Betty Ford Clinic, Tucker kept to her passion of churning out songs. This led her to the present compilations and ideas for her new album “My Turn”.
The album features songs by quite a number of influential artist’s from the country music genre. Names like Merle Haggard and Charlie Pride figure prominently in the list. The song “Anybody Goin’ to San Antone” by Pride has always been in the list of favorites for Tucker. She said, “I wanted to pay tribute to some of the greats, and that’s what this album’s all about.”
