Talk Radio Host Dr. Laura Schlessinger Expresses Apology For N-Word Rant

Los Angeles, Aug 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Popular talk radio host Dr. Laura Schlessinger has been making news lately but not for reasons she can be very proud of. The chat radio presenter created quite a stir recently when she used the N-word multiple times while she was involved in an on-air conversation with a black caller which took place earlier this week. Owing to the widespread outrage that her N-word rant had been successful in generating, Dr. Laura Schlessinger was hardly left with much options but to apologize for her usage of words on-air. The talk radio host has issued an apology for using the N-word and has also admitted that it was indeed an extremely wrong thing to say.
The 63-year-old much acclaimed chat radio host has released a statement on her online portal on Wednesday in which she acknowledges that by the uttering the N-word as many as eleven times, she had indeed committed a horrible mistake and was supposedly so upset after the incident that she could not even finish the show. At the same time, Dr. Laura Schlessinger also explained her decision to use the N-word by saying that she did so in order to make a point but realized later that it was a mistake to do so.
The incident took place during Tuesday’s show when a black woman had called her up saying that her husband’s friends make comments about her which are racist in nature at their home. When the woman asked the host whether the N-word could be considered to be offensive, Dr. Laura Schlessinger explained that black people use it frequently and then herself said it many times.
